The attitude of societytoward gay and lesbiand marriage is getting agreeable. Some states allow gay and lesbian marriage, gay bars and TV channels have appeared, and people's underatanding ahs changed with increasing the number of gays adn lesbians. Nevertheless, some people stil think gay/lesbian marriage is ethically wrong, or it would lend up to AIDS. In addition, their marriage has not been allowed legally yet in the whole U.S., so they cannot receive enough benefit and pension; however, some couples already have started their matrimony, and have children. If they were in a dangerous situation such as sudden injury, they could not receive medical care. For prrotecting them, people need to know these are just misunderstandings and prejudices. Here is a person who agrees with gay/lesbian marriage, Jessica Montgomerie. She gave us a lot of opinions.

My intervieww, Jessica Montgomerie, believes marriage equals living with your partner and loving him/her. It does not matter which sex you and your partner are. That is why she agrees with gay/lesbian marrage, and does not think ti is ethically wrong. She also believes in individuality. Everyone can make his/her own choice. Therefore, she claims the whole U.S. country should allow gay marriage. Moreover, having a sexual relationship is a natural part of being human even if it is between same sex people. About AIDS, which manu people are concerned about, people usually ge AIDS from the people of the opposite sex. She also says it is unfair that they cannot reeive benefit and pension. Finally, many gay/lesbian couple have children. Theif parents"s behavior might influence children; however, she notes that gay/lesbian people were also born to heterosexual parents. Thus, even though there are many misanderstanidings and prejudice, there are also people who rightly understand them, lik Montgomerie. Society is changing. If people appreciate gays and lesbians more, they would be admitted to the whole world and be more comfortable.

Three new networks seek gay audience

This is an article I used as a my presentation. However, I would like to introduce it again, because it was very impressive for me. It talks about three networks which are trying to make gay channels and to get gay and lesbian audience. MTV Networks's Logo will start this program on June 30 as far a part of their basic cable services. They are sure to be successful because there are many people who need this kind of service with increasing the number of gays and lesbians.

I am so curious about this project and I think it would be succeed. There are many people who are gays and lesbians, and they want to watch their love stories and documentaries. Also they can express their feeling and opinions by broadcasting these TV programs. It may remove the prejudice toward them, and spread people's understanding. I also saw on gay's opinion on the web. He said that he always feels uncomfortable with regular channels becayse the TV dramas are usually between a man and a woman. Consequently, I hope they could feel better with this type of TV programs.

California judge backs gay unions

A author says the superior court in San Francisco decided there is no rational reason to prohibit gay marriage.
There are too many different opinion about limiting gay marrige even people have variety thinking how much we can ban individual choice about marriage. I think it would take for a long time to have general opinion about marriage between a man and a woman. One thing even though we have a lot of reasonable opinion to have our own thinking, we can discuss each other peacfully.

Interview about Gay marriage

Why I agree with “ gay marriage” is that because I think everybody has to be expected and protected by laws that could be justification for everybody as long as someone does not hurt others physically and mentally.
When I took gay marriage as a subject of my topic I wanted to know their opinion directly. Even though there are both some gays and lesbians in my country, they cannot have their voice in my society which is traditional and conservative. For interview I contacted a gay group which is “ Rainbow Network” in SIU last Sunday though the internet. They answered me immediately so we could meet each other on Wednesday on the third floor of student center after finishing class.
Actually even though it was Just my work, other members of our group wanted to join this meeting because they were also interested in them and listen to their voice directly like me. While I had met both a gay and a lesbian, all of us were very good listeners and serious I think.
I will be about to write their opinion based on six questions.

1. When did you know that you have to live your life as a gay?
“ when I was sixteen years old I naturally had recognized myself that I should to live as gay.”
2. Do your parents know you are a gay and how was their response when
you said it?
“ Yes, I talked to my mother when I was eighteen and twenty for my father. They accepted my decision and didn’t push me to change my mind, they respected me.”
3. What is most difficult about living in your society as a gay?
“ There are many stigmas in society toward gays such as if they do coming out in a company, gay could be kicked out from a company by the reason for being gay someone is gay. We cannot be protected from these stigmas appropriately.”
4. If you want to get married that will be a gay marriage, do you want to
have a baby and if you want, how?
“ I am too young to think about marriage but I want to have a baby after
getting marriage by adoption. It’s very natural because most people
want to have children. But a gay couple cannot adopt a baby legally.”
5.Why do you think people are against gay marriage and why do you think
gay marriage should be allowed legally?
“ Most people against it because of the Bible” “It’s not unusual I think
people can like the same gender or different gender. Just it’s
individual choice.”
Last question it was the most interesting 6. What do you think about people
who have bisexual relationships? I interviewed two gays they answered
this question differently one of them was “Yes” and another was “No”.

Kansas voters overwhelmingly approve gay marriage ban

My article is about "Gay marriage is forbidden in the U.S." Kansas voters overwhelmingly legislate for gay marriage ban. Most Americans believe in Christianity. According to the Bible, marriage is only between a man and a woman. If the marriage is same-sex, the human being will become more complicated and it would also obscure basic values which belong to the common inheritance of humanity. Most states have approved a constitutional gay marriage ban, and other states would approve this event continually. But, the government ban on same-sex marriage is discrimination and is illegal under the Human Rights Act.

Interview about "Disagree Gay Marriage"

Today, I interviewed a friend who is a 24-year-old man and disagrees with gay marriage. He has no idea about how some people become gay or lesbian. But he guesses the reason that makes people become gay is nature. And gays aren’t different from normal people. The biggest different things are that some men have feminine behavior, some women have masculine behavior, and they fall in love with same-sex. But my friend doesn’t think the government should agree to gay marriage. It does not allow breaking the natural rules when the same-sex get married. And he can’t accept the gay marriage because it does not support natural reproduction. But he has some gay friends; if they get married one day, he still will give them best wishes.

In my opinion, I could accept gay marriage, even if they break the tradition that the marriage only consists of a man and a woman. But gays have the right to get together with their lover. In America, Vermont allows same-sex civil unions, and Massachusetts’ top court is set to rule on the issue soon. Nowadays, more people could accept gay marriage, not including some elder people. The religion still makes the elder people think it is not allowed. It is a hard-time job to make them accept gay marriage.

In this society, same-sex love is becoming increasingly popular. There are more men who love men and women who love women, and they try to get married. They want to have a family like normal people-father, mother, and children. However, gay marriage is not allowed in this society. If they want to have a child, they should adopt one. Some people think this is not good for children. Maybe it will make children confuse their sex. On the other hand, a few people think that even though children have same-sex parents, they still can choose if they love man or woman. For example, there is not all gays and lesbians from a same-sex family. They still choose whether they want to be a gay or lesbian.

I went to a church and interviewed a pastor. This is his opinion about gay marriage. He feels that the person wants to be a gay or lesbian because they have some hurts in their deep heart. He wants to help them and talk to them. he would not agree with same-sex getting married. This is both his opinion and the Bible. According to the Bible, a men will join with a woman and the two will become one. Marriage is a big ceremony for man and woman. This is clear, that marriage is between a man and woman. Even though he disagrees with same-sex people getting married, he still has several friends that are gays and he supports them. Moreover, if someone is confused about not knowing whether he is gay or not, he would really like to help him, talk about his past and try to figure out what’s happened in his past.

In Florida, gay Hispanic households analyzed

I found this article in a gay and lesbian website. In florida, they ban Hispanic gay and lesbian marry and adopt children. However, more than 9,000 Hispanic same-sex couples live in Florida. Most of them are living together and raising children. If they want have their own right, they should move to somewhere where allow same-sex marry and rais children and pay huge money to keep their right.
I think this is a kind of revolution to protect people's right. For example, political revolution to protect political idea. This process is very arduous, but if gay and lesbian want to marry and have a child, they have to do that.
